Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 8, 2026

Worker Efficiency LLC ("Worker Efficiency," "we," "us") makes workforce software for construction and field-service companies. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. It's written for the owners and crews who use the app, not just their lawyers.

The short version

  • If your employer uses Worker Efficiency, your employer decides what it records about you and who at the company can see it. We store it for them.
  • The app and the dashboard check your location at set moments, like clock-in. They never track you in the background.
  • We don't sell your information, and there are no ads in our apps.
  • You can delete your account in the app, or email us at help@workerefficiency.com.

What this policy covers

Our website (workerefficiency.com), our web dashboard (dashboard.workerefficiency.com) and the Worker Efficiency apps for iPhone and Android. It replaces any earlier privacy text shown in our apps or linked from the app stores.

If you use Worker Efficiency through your employer

Companies use Worker Efficiency to run their crews. If a company invited you, that company decides what it records about its crew, who at the company can see it, and how long to keep it. We store and process that information for the company.

Your company is responsible for telling you what it records — such as your hours, your location at clock-in and photos of your work — and for getting any consent the law requires. Questions about how your company uses your information should go to your company first.

What we collect

  • Account and company details — your name, email, phone number, password, profile photo, language, role, department and team, and the training topics you pick at sign-up. For company owners: the company's name, address, phone, website, logo and size.
  • Information your company adds — when your company invites you, it gives us your email and role. It may also add your pay rate, department, team and job assignments.
  • Work records — shifts, clock-in and clock-out times, breaks, tasks, percent-complete reports, timesheets, job assignments, form and checklist submissions, training progress, certifications and skills.
  • Pay and time off — the pay rate your company sets for you, and the type of day off it records (for example sick, PTO, workers' comp, jury duty, military leave or bereavement).
  • Photos, videos and files — form photos and signatures, job attachments, clock-out photos, daily-report and comment images, equipment photos, skill and certification documents, and training videos your company uploads.
  • Reviews and ratings — peer reviews you give and receive, and ratings your managers give you.
  • Worker profile — headline, bio, skills, certifications, training and a summary of past work (company, role, dates and hours).
  • Location — at set moments only. See "Location" below.
  • Payment details — Stripe handles payments. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. We keep your plan, seat count and invoice history.
  • Device and log data — a code from your phone that lets us send it notifications, which app version you have and whether it's an iPhone or Android, and crash and usage reports built into our mobile apps (Microsoft App Center). Our servers log your internet (IP) address and what was requested and when; sign-in logs also record the email or phone number entered.

What we don't collect: we don't use face or fingerprint scans, our mobile apps don't access your contacts, microphone or calendar, and we don't ask for Social Security numbers, dates of birth or bank details.

Location

While you're using the mobile app or the web dashboard, it may check your device's location at these moments:

  • when you clock in;
  • if your company uses job-site boundaries ("geofences"): when you clock out, or start, pause or finish a task;
  • when you submit a form or checklist, or open a form that has a location field;
  • if your company tracks equipment: when you start a task (the web dashboard checks at every task start). The location is saved only on equipment attached to that task;
  • when you tap to pin where a piece of equipment is.

We use it to check whether you're at the job site, to record where a form was filled out, and to show your company where its equipment was used.

What we keep: the location on form submissions and equipment records; and, on jobs with a geofence, the location of any clock-in, clock-out or task event outside the boundary (or a note that no location was sent at clock-in). Inside a geofence, we use the location for the check but don't save it with your records. On jobs without a geofence, the app still sends your clock-in location, but we don't use it or save it.

We never track your location in the background or between these moments. People at your company whose role allows it can see geofence alerts, form locations and equipment locations. We don't sell location data or use it for advertising.

You can turn off location for the app in your phone's settings, or for the dashboard in your browser. You can still clock in, but your company may see that no location was sent.

How we use your information

  • To run the service your company pays for: timesheets, job costing, scheduling, forms, training, reviews and reports.
  • To bill your company.
  • To send sign-in codes, invites, reminders, alerts and notifications.
  • To keep accounts secure and to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To support you, fix problems and improve the service.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. There are no ads in our apps.

Peer reviews

After a shift you may be asked to review a crewmate. The crewmate you review doesn't see your name, but they may see your comment and when it was left, so on a small crew they may be able to guess who wrote it. Your company's admins and account owner can see who wrote each review — including reviews of themselves — and managers may be able to find out as well.

Who we share it with

Inside your company: your company gives each person a role, and the role controls what they can see in the app.

Your worker profile travels with you: people at the companies you work for, including companies you join later, can see your name, photo, headline, bio, skills, certifications, training, ratings and a summary of your past work (company, role and dates).

Companies that help us run Worker Efficiency handle information on our behalf. They may use it only to provide their service to us:

  • Stripe — payments and billing.
  • Amazon Web Services — running our servers, storing files and photos, sending text-message sign-in codes, and hosting this website.
  • MongoDB Atlas — our database.
  • Google Firebase and Apple — push notifications (your phone's notification code and the notification text, which can include names).
  • Microsoft 365 — sending email such as sign-in codes and invites.
  • Google (Gmail) — some automated emails, such as equipment-return reminders and internal error alerts, which can include the email or phone number entered at sign-in.
  • Mux — hosting and streaming training videos.
  • Google Maps and Google Fonts — maps and lettering in the web dashboard.
  • Microsoft App Center — crash and usage reports from the mobile apps.
  • Supabase — delivering app updates (it receives your app version and platform).
  • Our AI assistant preview (rag.thescript.design), built by our contractors — only if it's turned on for you and you type, say or show it something on the dashboard's Worker AI page.
  • Software contractors who build, fix and support Worker Efficiency, and who may see your information while doing that work, including in error reports.

When the law requires it, or to protect people: we may disclose information to comply with the law (for example a subpoena or court order), to protect someone's safety, or to protect our rights and prevent fraud.

If the business changes hands: if Worker Efficiency is sold, merged or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner, and this policy keeps applying to it unless you're told otherwise.

How we protect your information

We take steps to protect your information. For example, the apps and the dashboard talk to our servers over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and on our servers passwords are stored only in scrambled ("hashed") form. If you tick "Remember me" in the mobile app, your password is saved in your phone's encrypted storage so you don't have to type it again. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise information will never be lost or seen without permission. If a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Some uploaded files — like form photos, signatures and clock-out photos — are stored at web links that open without signing in. Anyone who has or finds a file's link can open it, so don't upload anything that needs to stay private.

Keep your password private, and email us if you think your account was misused.

How long we keep it

  • Your account stays until you delete it or ask us to. If your company removes you, you lose access to that company, but your account stays.
  • Company records — time, jobs, forms, photos, reviews — are kept for your company until it deletes them or asks us to. We don't delete them automatically when a subscription ends, so a company can come back to them.
  • After something is deleted, copies may stay in server logs and backups for a while, and we keep what the law requires.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to My Profile → Details → Delete account. Or email us from the address on your account and we'll delete it.

Deleting removes your login, your account details and your company memberships. Your worker profile (headline, bio, certifications), skill documents and uploaded photos and files aren't removed automatically yet — email us and we'll delete them. Records of work you did for a company — time entries, pay history, forms and reviews — belong to that company and may be kept by it. To ask for those to be deleted too, email us; if they belong to your company, we'll pass your request to them.

Company owners: deleting your account also deletes the companies you own and their jobs and tasks. Other company records, like timesheets, forms, photos and costs, aren't deleted automatically — email us to have them deleted. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription, so cancel your plan first (see our Terms of Service).

Your choices and rights

  • See or fix your information — edit your profile in the app, or ask your company admin to correct work records.
  • Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion — email us. If your company controls the information, we'll pass your request to them and help them answer it.
  • Turn things off — you can turn off location, camera, photos and notifications for the app in your phone's settings, and location for the dashboard in your browser. Some features, like photo forms, won't work without them.
  • Emails — we send the emails, texts and notifications needed to run the service, like sign-in codes, invites, billing notices and alerts. Any marketing email we send will include an unsubscribe link.
  • State privacy laws — some states give you extra rights over your personal information. If one applies to you, we'll respond as that law requires, and we won't treat you differently for using them.

Children

Worker Efficiency is a work tool for businesses and their workers. It isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Our website, cookies and "Do Not Track"

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising pixels, and it has no forms. Like any website, our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) receives your internet (IP) address and browser details in order to deliver the pages.

The web dashboard keeps you signed in using your browser's storage and loads its lettering from Google Fonts. Its payment page loads Stripe, which may set its own cookies to help prevent fraud; its maps load Google Maps; and training videos stream from Mux.

Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" setting. We don't follow you across other websites, so that setting doesn't change anything we do.

Where information is stored

We're based in the United States. Our service providers and contractors may also handle information in other countries.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell company admins by email or in the app before it takes effect.
